On May 13-14, 2023, SVW, in collaboration with Pu Mat National Park, successfully released 65 big-headed turtles (Platysternon megacephalum) back into the wild. These turtles were part of a group of 127 individuals rescued by SVW and Pu Mat National Park from illegal wildlife trade cases in Nghe An province in December 2022 and April 2023. After arriving at the rescue center, some individuals died due to injuries sustained during illegal transport.

In collaboration with Cat Tien National Park, Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) organized a workshop to discuss enhancing the effectiveness of forest patrol and wildlife conservation at Cat Tien National Park. The event was attended by 140 delegates, including leadership, civil servants, public employees, forest rangers, contract staff, and forest protection officers from Cat Tien.

Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW), in collaboration with Cuc Phuong National Park and Pu Mat National Park, successfully released 15 Sunda pangolins back into the wild on April 19, 2023, bringing the total number of pangolins released by SVW so far this year to 22.

Cuc Phuong National Park spans across 3 provinces, 4 districts, and 14 bordering communes. The majority of the population living in the buffer zone belongs to the Muong ethnic group, accounting for 80% of the local residents. Due to the economic hardships faced by many families, children born here face more disadvantages than their peers in the lowlands. Instead of enjoying a comfortable life with frequent opportunities for educational trips and nature experiences to learn about wildlife, these children must help their families earn a living every day.

On April 7, 2023, at Ba Vi National Park, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife, in collaboration with the Vietnam Administration of Forestry and the CITES Management Authority of Vietnam, held a consultation workshop to develop a draft decree framework to replace Decree 06/2019/ND-CP and Decree 84/2021/ND-CP on the management of endangered, precious, and rare forest plants and animals, and the implementation of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).

On April 13, 2023, the UK Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, Thérèse Coffey, visited Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) at Cuc Phuong National Park.

From March 14-17, 2023, Save Vietnam's Wildlife (SVW) collaborated with Pu Mat National Park to survey scenic and thematic tourism routes around the Kem Waterfall area. The initiative aims to diversify tourism products to meet the varied needs of visitors and attract more tourists to Pu Mat National Park. By doing so, the Park can generate income from tourism activities to reinvest in conservation efforts, while also creating more stable livelihoods for local communities in the buffer zone, thereby helping to reduce negative pressure on natural resources.

Tối ngày 4/4/2023, SVW phối hợp Vườn quốc gia Pù Mát tiếp nhận cứu hộ 59 cá thể rùa đầu to quý hiếm. Toàn bộ số động vật trên do Phòng cảnh sát Môi trường Công an tỉnh Nghệ An bắt giữ, tịch thu từ vận chuyển trái phép trên địa bàn huyện Diễn Châu.

Ngày 17 và 18/3/2023, với vai trò là đơn vị kết nối Học viện lãnh đạo ABG và trường học Pù Mát, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife đã tham gia chương trình “Ươm mầm giáo dục” do học viên khóa ABG Edu 2 – Học viện lãnh đạo ABG tổ chức tại điểm chính, điểm lẻ Cò Phạt, Bản Búng của Tiểu học 2 Môn Sơn, Côn Cuông, Nghệ An.
