Community engagement

While human activity can negatively impact nature, we also possess the power to restore and protect it. At SVW, we believe that fostering connections and creating an environment that raises awareness, encourages positive attitudes, and inspires proactive behavior is the key to sustainable conservation. Anyone can be a nature conservationist!

Goal 04

01
Developing Sustainable and Effective Community Engagement Programs

Developing and implementing scientifically sound and sustainable community engagement programs tailored to diverse target groups. These programs must be practical, effective, simple, and cost-efficient, enabling stakeholders to participate proactively and creating long-term impacts for both people and wildlife.

02
Establishing Core Local Conservation Teams

Establishing core local conservation teams in SVW's key project areas, capable of independently implementing community engagement programs with minimal support from SVW.

03
Inspiring and Empowering the Next Generation in Conservation

Inspiring, developing, and enhancing conservation capacity for undergraduate and graduate students, as well as young people aspiring to work in the conservation field.

04
Building an Open Database to Support Education and Awareness

Developing a free online database that aggregates social research from conservation organizations in Vietnam, along with conservation materials developed and proven effective by SVW for education and awareness. This will serve as a source of scientific evidence to support the development of education and awareness programs in Vietnam.
