Future vision

Initial efforts that SVW has been implementing through various activities aimed at enhancing capacity, improving the quality of ecotourism services and products, and boosting communications in key conservation areas. At Cuc Phuong National Park, we support the development of experiential tourism products for students and provide capacity-building training for park tourism staff on how to operate these programs.

At Pu Mat National Park, SVW successfully organized the Pu Mat National Park Ecotourism Promotion Workshop to connect with potential travel agencies. The event saw the participation of nearly 40 delegates from the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, the Nghe An Department of Tourism, the Nghe An Investment, Trade and Tourism Promotion Center, and 20 travel agencies from across the country.

The workshop serves as a foundation for a series of ecotourism promotion activities that have been and are being implemented by SVW at Pu Mat National Park.

Organize skills training workshops for park staff and local residents on topics such as guiding, porter services, and communications.
Conduct surveys to design tour routes and support the development and handover of a tourism website for Pu Mat National Park to better promote ecotourism products to potential visitors.
Produce, install, and hand over interpretive signage at the Khe Kem Waterfall tourist area to help visitors easily access information and follow park regulations.
Connect and gather information to assess local needs for developing sustainable livelihoods, aiming to reduce the negative impact of local communities on forest resources.

We need your help and partnership

We hope to receive support from the community, organizations, and businesses to fund the construction of 34 breeding enclosures for Owston's civets, 10 enclosures for golden-bellied mangabeys, and additional housing for successful breeding individuals in 2024-2025.
