On February 11, 2026, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) held a meeting and signed a strategic partnership agreement for the 2026–2030 period with the Ninh Binh Protection and Special-Use Forest Management Board, while also finalizing the implementation plan for conservation activities in 2026. 

This marks a significant milestone in strengthening coordination for biodiversity conservation, as well as the protection and sustainable development of forest resources, with a particular focus on conserving the Delacour's langur population in the endemic limestone mountains of Ninh Binh.

2026 Delacour's Langur Conservation Action Plan:

In 2026, Delacour's langur conservation efforts will focus on the following key areas: 

🔹 Research and surveys: Conducting population surveys and technical meetings to develop effective conservation solutions. 

🔹 Forest patrol and protection: Establishing and operating community-based forest protection teams, and integrating modern technology (SMART, drones) into forest patrolling, protection, and biodiversity monitoring. Additionally, both parties have agreed to provide further equipment (motorbikes), tools (GPS, smartphones), and protective gear to fully support the teams.

🔹 Community education and engagement: Spreading the conservation message to the local community through signage and awareness-raising workshops.

This partnership with the Ninh Binh Protection and Special-Use Forest Management Board is a testament to the tireless efforts of SVW and its partners in conserving endangered wildlife and their habitats. With the support of the community, we hope that Vietnam's precious natural heritage will continue to be sustainably protected for the future.
