On January 12, 2026, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) held its 2025 Year-End Meeting in Da Lat, bringing together staff and personnel from our offices and project sites in Hanoi, Cuc Phuong, Pu Mat, Cat Tien, Dong Nai, U Minh Thuong, and U Minh Ha.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the entire SVW team to reflect on a 2025 marked by both significant achievements and challenges, while recognizing the persistent efforts in rescue, conservation, forest protection, and community education across our key operational areas.

In 2025, SVW achieved several notable results:
▪️ Rescued and cared for 280 individual animals across 22 species
▪️ Removed 7,342 snares from the forest
▪️ Assisted in handling 383 cases of wildlife-related violations
▪️ Reached nearly 5,000 local residents and students through community education and outreach activities

Beyond reviewing our results, the meeting focused on discussing, evaluating, and aligning our core strategic directions for 2026, including:

▪️Improving the efficiency of wildlife rescue, care, rehabilitation, and release

▪️Advancing scientific research and post-release monitoring
▪️Continuing to strengthen forest patrols and the application of technology in monitoring and law enforcement
▪️Expanding conservation breeding programs and natural behavior rehabilitation
▪️Enhancing inter-agency coordination in combating wildlife crime
▪️Developing environmental education and community engagement initiatives

The 2025 Year-End Meeting was not only a time to look back on our journey but also a vital step in preparing for the implementation of our tasks in the coming period.

Save Vietnam’s Wildlife would like to express our sincere gratitude to all our staff, partners, and the community for their continued companionship and support throughout 2025. We are confident that with close collaboration and a clear vision, 2026 will continue to be a year of positive transformation for nature conservation in Vietnam.
