On July 22, 2026, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW) held its mid-year review meeting in Da Nang, bringing together staff and personnel from Hanoi, Cuc Phuong National Park, Pu Mat National Park, Cat Tien National Park, Dong Nai Culture and Nature Reserve, U Minh Thuong National Park, U Minh Ha National Park, Van Long Nature Reserve, and Du Gia National Park.

The meeting provided an opportunity for the entire SVW team to reflect on the first six months of 2026, evaluate achievements in species conservation, forest protection, conservation research, and community engagement, while openly discussing the challenges, obstacles, and lessons learned during the implementation of their activities.

Additionally, the meeting established key strategic priorities for the second half of 2026, including:

• Improving the efficiency of wildlife rescue, care, rehabilitation, and release efforts.
• Advancing conservation research projects, with a particular focus on the Delacour's langur and the Tonkin snub-nosed monkey, while enhancing post-release monitoring.
• Strengthening forest patrol and protection efforts, collaborating closely with National Parks and Nature Reserves, and utilizing technology for monitoring and law enforcement support.
• Increasing coordination with authorities to combat wildlife crime and raising public awareness about nature conservation in Vietnam.
• Developing conservation education programs with a focus on the Mobile Nature Center.

With collective effort and determination, we are confident that the final months of 2026 will continue to mark further positive achievements in our journey to protect Vietnam's wildlife and natural heritage.
