On August 21, 2021, Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW), alongside 13 other NGOs working in nature and wildlife conservation in Vietnam, submitted an open letter to the Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Minister of Natural Resources and Environment, the Minister of Public Security, and the Chairpersons of Provincial People's Committees nationwide. The letter emphasized the urgent need to review, inspect, and address the illegal captivity and possession of wildlife.

Con Cuong, April 2, 2021 – Pu Mat National Park, in collaboration with Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW), the Con Cuong District Department of Education and Training, and the Con Cuong District Youth Union, successfully hosted the opening workshop for the "Pu Mat National Park Nature and Wildlife Conservation Awareness Education Program." Attended by nearly 40 delegates, the workshop marked a positive start to an initiative aimed at raising awareness among primary and secondary school students in the buffer zone about the dangers of illegal wildlife consumption and the importance of working together to protect the forests of Pu Mat.

Last weekend, forest rangers and the anti-poaching team of Pu Mat National Park apprehended a group of five individuals using homemade guns for illegal wildlife hunting within the park's boundaries. The team seized five homemade guns, the carcasses of two Phayre's langurs (Trachypithecus phayrei), one live wild boar, the dried legs and bones of another wild boar, and various types of traps.
